The Global Health Film initiative is delighted to announce that the 2017 Global Health Film Festival will take place on Friday 08 and Saturday 09 December at the Barbican, Europe’s largest arts venue. We have some really exciting headline films confirmed in this year’s programme and will release details of these very shortly. Tickets will go on sale in early October – more details to follow shortly!
The primary objective of the Global Health Film initiative is to use film as a catalyst for discussion and for change. Other activities of the initiative include the Global Health Film Fellows Workshop which brings together promising filmmakers, journalists, scientists, doctors, public health advocates, and those interested in film and in global health to combine the skills and the language of filmmaking with the technical knowledge of epidemiology and critical appraisal. We hope that this innovative approach will bring together some exciting minds to better communicate the advances and challenges in global health to the public.
