The new coordinator for Be-cause health, Magalie Schotte, will start with her work as coordinator of Be-cause health on March 1st, 2021. Magalie trained in philosophy, with a focus on development, international politics and conflict. She has worked with Oxfam for many years in Belgium and then joined the Provincial administration of Oost-Vlaanderen to manage its overseas development activities. She has experience with international trade, climate change, 4th pillar organisations, communication (a.o. in schools) and managed projects with countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. She once was a special education teacher. She describes herself as open minded and bold and as a loyal, solution-oriented, autonomous team worker.
