Announcement: Launch of the e-learning InfoNTD Platform at NNN Conference

We are excited to announce the launch of the e-learning InfoNTD platform during the opening plenary session at the Neglected Tropical Disease NGO Network (NNN) Conference in Kuala Lumpur on October 1st. Dr. Claire Fuller, Chair of the International Foundation for Dermatology, will introduce the platform.

This vital initiative addresses the declining technical capacity within the Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) community. Developed in collaboration with global partners, the platform responds to the need for updated, sustainable, and cost-effective training solutions for healthcare professionals tackling NTDs. With technical expertise in the NTD field diminishing, delays in care are becoming more frequent, putting progress toward eliminating these diseases at risk. Many existing NTD training resources are outdated, and current capacity-building approaches often lack sustainability and efficiency. The e-learning InfoNTD platform bridges this gap by offering flexible online learning, combining e-learning with practical, hands-on training to ensure health workers are better equipped.

Through partnerships with national training institutions, the platform offers contextualized and practical learning experiences. Courses have been developed in collaboration with health professionals and individuals affected by NTDs, ensuring they are relevant, appropriate, and accurate for various healthcare levels—from community workers to supervisors.

We invite you to support this platform by investing in the capacity-building of health workers. Together, we can help eliminate NTDs and ensure a healthier future for all. This platform aligns with key global health initiatives, including WHO’s Roadmap for NTDs and the Sustainable Development Goals (Goals 3 & 4). Join us in making a meaningful impact on global health.
