The year 2024 was associated with farewells at FESTMIH. Our long-standing Board member Guus Eskens from the NVTG Dutch Society for Tropical Medicine & Global Health took his well-deserved retirement. We would like to thank him for all his work and are pleased that Guus will continue to support us in other working groups. However, alongside a farewell there is always a welcome, so we are delighted that Remko Schats will be joining us as a new board member. Remko has a broad background and will certainly support us optimally, especially in the area of digital development in healthcare.
