Bergen Summer Research School
Systems perspectives on sustainability and justice.
The annual Bergen Summer Research School takes place 10-20 June 2025. It will welcome up to 100 PhD students from around the world for its five parallel courses. For PhD candidates with an interest in health the two first courses are of particular interest:
- Health Financing Towards Universal Health Coverage
- Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Climate Change and Health
- Accounting for Sustainability
- Democratic Practices and Sustainability
- Creative Innovations in Higher Education
With just five years remaining to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal, Professor Birgit Kopainsky, scientific director of BSRS 2025, urges us to reflect on whether we can do better. She has brought together five top researchers to create interdisciplinary courses.
In addition there is a joint workshop: Systems Thinking and Creative Problem-Solving
