The 4th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health is held in Marseille, France. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tropical Medicine Institute of the French Army Medical Service, France and the City of Marseille are honored to host the World Congress on "Medicine and Health in the Tropics." Organized by the International Federation of Tropical Medicine, the Federation of European Societies of Tropical Medicine, and the Société de Pathologie Exotique, this congress will cover a wide range of topics. In addition to tropical endemic diseases such as malaria, schistosomiasis, trypanosomiasis, leishmaniasis, AIDS, tuberculosis, and meningitis, it will also explore areas like ophthalmology, endocrinology, as well as the use of new technologies (e.g. telemedicine) and breakthroughs in biology.
