The 5th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health is held in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is the 5th congress organized under the auspices of the Federation of the Societies of Tropical Medicine and International Health. It will be hosted in the Netherlands to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Dutch Society for Tropical Medicine and International Health (NVTG). Amsterdam has a long-standing tradition in tropical medicine and global health. The theme of the congress is "Partnership and Innovation in Global Health", highlighting the importance of collaboration to enhance the quality of global health and achieve the Millennium Development Goals. The congress invites all health professionals to create a platform for addressing key issues in global health, such as public health, clinical tropical medicine, health economics, poverty, basic science, diagnostics, and therapeutics.
