The Swiss Society of Tropical Medicine and Parasitology was founded in 1943 and focuses on tropical medicine and parasitology. Its aim is to strengthen and expand the Swiss community of experts and the network among students, scientists, clinicians and other professionals as well as their organisations in the field of parasitology, tropical medicine and global health. 


Activities:
- working groups: Diagnostic Group, Molecular Parasitology Group, Student Meetings Group, Swiss Vector Entomology Group, Veterinary Parasitology Group, Tropical Medicine & Public Health Group
- travel and young investigator awards
- an annual meeting
- produce regular newsletters with updates on upcoming events including from partner institutions and societies
- a webinar series with new episodes every four-eight weeks
